Fear of time running out, fear of the economy and what that will mean right now, for Christmas and the year ahead.

The best way to serve yourself when all that fear and contracting energy is going on around you and within you is to EXPAND... to open up your chest, your heart, your eyes, your imagination, yourself and dream and be. Let your imagination guide you to where and how you would love to be living your life.

Really give yourself permission to take 15-20 minutes to do my Dream Life recipe this week or this month to stop, breath, and dream on the year that lays before you. You might be surprised at how quickly things start sifting and shifting for you as a result, even before the year is out.

Whilst I know they are just as important as the activities I love doing, I can’t seem to overcome the hurdle of getting started on them or indeed making the time for them at all.

So a friend suggested I play my favourite CD while doing my ‘boring’ tasks. Sounds simple and it is. Better still it works! Not only will you get your less than favourite tasks done, you’ll enjoy them more than you imagined you would.

October 08
Sometimes the enormity of your dreams can seem unobtainable if you allow yourself to be overwhelmed by your ultimate goal. But if you create bite size action steps along the way, your big picture goal becomes a lot more enjoyable and manageable to create.

September 08
My husband and I have always lead busy lives, which on the surface might seem great but in reality means our intimate time often gets neglected. We knew we wanted to change this so we created ‘Date Night’. It’s an evening for just the two of us; no distractions, no phones, just us.

No matter how much you love each other at the outset, every romantic relationship needs time for connection, communication and chemistry.

Making a commitment to ‘date’ your partner will most certainly have an impact on the two of you coming together and reigniting your love and passion for each other.

Click here to download Alison Nancye's life-recipe this month

* Take Stock of Your Life

by Alison Nancye(c)

August 08
The more I read, listen to and observe the world around me, the more I realise what an incredibly achievement focussed world we have become. Whilst we have the wonderful Eckhart Tolles of the world promoting the notion of 'being' - quite hard to 'do' but you get there eventually!!! - we are still very focussed on what we need to achieve to afford us the 'luxury' of being.

I'm not saying don't strive for your goals and dreams, I'm just saying take time out along the way to reflect, and recognise what you have already accomplished, experienced and learned about yourself, rather than look at what you haven't accomplished yet.

So with half the year complete I always find this is a wonderful time to take stock of my life so far. Honestly, whenever I do this life-recipe exercise I am blown away what I learn about myself.

Have a go and see how your recipe turns out. And please feel free to post a comment or share this recipe.

July 08
Love is what makes the world go round. So why does it seem so hard to find 'it', and when we find it, so hard to keep it?

There is no one answer to create AND sustain great love, except to say, that our relationship with our partner deserves as much attention as any other priority in our life. Making your relationship with your loved one a priority every day is a great way to give your relationship the time and commitment it deserves. Give the love to others you would love to receive yourself.

This ritual was shared with me by one of my dear friends Deborah and I am delighted to share it with you. I started doing this ritual with my hubby after we had kids. As parents we find a lot of our time goes in to nurturing our kids, with little time left for our own relationship. It is incredible how this ritual brings us back to our hearts and our love for each other every time, simply by taking the time to do this. You don’t need any special setting, the evening meal works just as well.

This life-recipe isn’t just for romantic partners either. Choose to experience this process with anyone you have a regular relationship with. The focus on being positive and encouraging with each other and using that ‘flavour’ to enhance your existing relationship.
